Since 2001, Carol has worked in educational fundraising and for six of those years as Foundation Development Director at the King’s School, Worcester. She set up the Development Office at King’s Worcester, putting in place a comprehensive infrastructure enabling strong relationships to be built with the school community and the establishment of a diverse and successful on-going fundraising programme. In 2007, she assumed the role of Director, Development Trust for King’s Worcester with particular responsibility for major donors and legacies.
Prior to joining King’s Worcester, Carol worked for over twenty years in the Arts sector with smaller groups who historically found it difficult to source third party funding. Working on a project basis, Carol negotiated and secured considerable capital and revenue funding through statutory bodies, grant making trusts, sponsorship and general appeals which enabled groups to expand and move forward.
Carol is an achiever and passionate about the opportunities that are available to schools to secure a second stream of income when a properly formulated development function is in place. All elements of “best practice” are inherent in everything that she undertakes.
Carol, a member of the IDPE, works with a number of schools in a mentoring capacity.
